Okay so I might have a slight addiction. Actually a few if you count my obsession with wine, Starbucks, and pillows. But another thing I can’t have enough of is anything from Madewell. I didn’t want to like the brand. Its pricey and I wasn’t sure it was worth it. Then I broke down and tried a pair of their jeans. Then I bought a second pair. Then a jacket. Then some t-shirts. Then some sweaters. You get it. So now its a problem. But as I have gotten older I have realized there are things that are worth spending a little more money on. One of those things are quality pieces of clothing. I have been roughly the same size in clothing for a few years now(whether I like it or not lol). So when I find something that fits well and makes me feel good I wear the crap out of it. I may have a closet full of clothing but I then to gravitate towards my few favorites. And those favorites always include my Madewell pieces. So for this week’s Friday Finds I’m focusing on my favorites from Madewell for summer.
I have addressed my love of dresses here on this blog before. They are easier than putting together two separate pieces of clothing, they can be dressed up or down, and they look like you tried. This dress perfectly embodies those things. It also helps that it is a solid color making it even easier to pair with pretty much everything.
I’m a jeans all year kinda girl. If I’m not in a dress in the summer then I’m typically in jeans. I don’t really dig shorts. Maybe its because I don’t really feel overly confident in them for some reason. Whatever it is I love a good pair of jeans. I have been eyeing these jeans for awhile now. I love the high rise cut and the wash. Maybe its time I click the buy button.
There is just something about a loose fit collared shirt that is so classic. It screams put together yet comfy. This shirt can be paired with so many things. Totally makes it worth the cost.
This sandal is so perfect! I’m not much of a heel girl anymore. These days my main priority in shoes is how long I can comfortably wear them. So if I want to add some height(I’m only 5’4″ so I need it) then I tend to grab a wedge or a thick heeled shoe. The color and the thick heel on these sandals make me think they would get plenty of use in my closet.
What is more classic than a v-neck tee? Or stripes? I have this tee in a solid color and love it so I already know I need this striped version too.
Another classic summer dress. This flowy lightweight dress is a perfect summer staple. Its black and button front, what more could you want?
Okay so some of you, especially in the southern states, may not expect to see a jacket on my summer favorites list. But sometimes at night the temps dip low enough here in Ohio that you need a light jacket to throw over your tank. This jacket is one of my all season favorites. It is the perfect neutral to throw on with pretty much anything. I big heart eyes love this jacket.
White jeans just scream summer. They are so easy to pair with so many styles of tops. It can be hard to find a pair that has a good coverage and is thick enough to not show every lump and bump. This pair is a best seller and says they have zero show through so I’m excited to give them a try.
This tie front shirt is so cute! I love the loose cut and the stripes. It would be super cute with either of the jeans I have linked above.
I love a slide sandal. Just slip on and go. This sandal comes in three colors but the desert camel is my favorite. Its a great neutral color to go with any of the items linked in this post.
Have you joined the Madewell fan club? What are your favorite pieces?
