I know its only February but I’m hoping a little spring inspiration will bring along warmer temps. A girl can dream right? So today I thought I would do a little round up of a few of my favorite spring dresses. I am a total dress girl when the temps get warmer. Not because I like to dress up but because I’m lazy. A dress is much easier to throw together than a top and bottom. And its one piece instead of two so less laundry. Winner! But my dress style always leans to the casual side. What I do love about dresses is their versatility. Its easy to make them more causal by adding a cute pair of sneakers or flip flops but if you want to dress them up add some jewelry and a dressier shoe. Here are my favs!
I love a simple black dress and the fact that the sleeves on this dress can be worn up or down makes it an even better transition piece.
These shirt style dresses are everywhere this year! A wrap dress is so classic and so forgiving. Perfect for hiding those couple extra pounds that like to hang out in my midsection. The sleeves are such a girly touch. I like the length of this one, not so short that you are worried to bend and not too long for shorties like me.
This dress is all about the details. And the color, to die for! So bright and fun just like spring. It is a little pricey but I could see this dress getting a lot of wear so I think the price is justified.
This is one of those dresses that blurs the line between casual and dressy. If styled like in the picture it is more dressed up. But its a knit which makes it more easy to dress down. I would pair this with some flats or sandals and maybe a jean jacket for those slightly cool spring days. It comes in a couple colors but I love this gray option.
I have this exact dress in black and I love it! It comes in multiple colors and has over a thousand reviews. Its a classic basic dress but what I really love about it is the ruched detail. It really hides my trouble area. I will add that the lighter colors can be a little thin sometimes. I bought it in a blush color because I loved the black option so much and I ended up returning it because it was a little see through. But other than that it is a great dress.
A simple sheath dress is so classic. I love it as styled with the booties and maybe a light jacket for early spring. I could also see it with sandals and a cute bag for late spring and summer.
The detail on this dress is everything! I love a good white dress for spring and summer. The cut of this one seems casual and easy to wear. With tan shoes and some gold accessories this would be the perfect day to night dress.
The green color of this dress just screams spring to me. I love how they styled this dress. I mean who doesn’t love a good hat? This picture makes me want to plan my next beach vacation.
If you only own one dress it should be a tank dress. Seriously the options for styling are limitless. I like simple solid color tank dresses because they are easier to pair with other layers. What I really love about this particular tank dress is the neckline. Its high enough that you don’t have to worry about spilling out if you’re a little bigger up top but its not so high that you feel like you’re being choked. I’m going to need this dress in every color.
Another great option for spring is a 3/4 sleeve. Its perfect for pairing with a vest or light jacket. The length gives good coverage. And you can’t get more classic than stripes!
What do you think? Are you a dress type of girl?
